Peyton Cook grew up in Memphis, Tennessee where he started violin in Memphis City Schools at age 9, under the direction of Robyn Greene. Here, Mrs. Greene began a program called Strolling Strings where the school string program memorized popular tunes and strolled around while playing at dinners and events. This program immersed it's students in performing. Peyton went on to study with Joy Brown Wiener, former Memphis Symphony Concertmaster. In High school, he played violin for numerous play productions, where he would improv the music during the performances. In 2015, the Commercial Appeal named him an Academic All-Star in Music and Arts. He has won and placed in Tennessee competitions including the Germantown Symphony Concerto Competition and the Beethoven Club Competition. 

Alongside music, Peyton started to engage in photography and video art at a young age. His mother, being an artist and teacher, influenced him to maintain a broad spectrum of artistic mediums. 

Peyton went on to study with Katie Lansdale at the Boston Conservatory, where he began to meet dancers and composers. By his graduation in 2020, Peyton played numerous recitals that incorporated student and faculty choreography and compositions. His interest in dance, new music, and mix media strengthened during his Bachelors He started to experiment with other visual art on stage while performing, even dancing along with the dancers. Peyton currently is living in Boston, MA working on performance art, dance, and collaborating with other artists. He is currently music director for Ballet Naked, which is a ballet company based in Chicago by Teagan Read that focuses on positive body awareness and image. Peyton is a multifaceted artist, merging identities between violinist, visual artist, composer, performance artist, and dancer.
